This dry rub has a wonderful, full rounded flavor. Commonly used in the Southwest and Texas-style barbecue , mesquite has a somewhat lighter, sweeter flavor than the hickory that is usually used in the Southeast. We love this rub on grilled foods. This blend's delicate, sweeter flavor lends itself best to dark, rich meats such as thick cuts of beef, lamb or duck. Also great to season gravy, BBQ sauce and snack mixes. Also excellent on pork chops.
