The Seasoned Home is the culmination of two long time friends who share a common passion for family, the home and good food. Owners Jody LaCombe and Christina Bensinger came to understand long ago that many good homes and families center around the kitchen and dining. And like a good recipe, many ingredients come together to create an enjoyable experience. Jody and Christina, who have shared ideas, cooking techniques and recipes for years, offer special, thoughtful items to enhance the home and family. |

| How did it all begin? One
evening Jody and Christina started dreaming about opening a business together
and from there the inspiration began to flow. The
focus was clearly on what they loved to do: prepare and enjoy good food. They traveled extensively, from northern Michigan to Chicago, visiting shops, talking to people
and pursuing lots of great ideas. The Seasoned Home opened
in November of 2005, and you can find Jody or Christina at the shop most every day….sharing their enthusiasm and passion with others. Their motto is “come as a customer…and leave as a friend”. |

Driving
Directions:
The Seasoned Home is located in the beautiful downtown shopping district of
Holland, Michigan. It is an easy drive to West Michigan and the beautiful
sandy shores of nearby Lake Michigan.
From the
Grand Rapids area (35 min):
• Take I-196 west toward Holland
• Take exit 55 ( Business 196) toward Holland
• Follow Business 196 past US 31 and it becomes Chicago Drive
• Follow Chicago Drive into downtown Holland and proceed straight on
Eighth Street
• Continue across College Avenue and we are located on the right. (additional parking and entrance in the back)
From the Detroit area (2 ½ hours)
• Take I-96 from Detroit to Grand Rapids
• Take M-6 west toward Holland
• Merge onto I-196 toward Holland
• Take exit 55 (Business 196) toward Holland
• Follow Business 196 past US 31 and it becomes Chicago Drive
• Follow Chicago Drive into downtown Holland and proceed straight on
Eighth Street
• Continue across College Avenue and we are located on the right. (additional parking and entrance in the back)
From the
Chicago area (2 ½ hours)
• Take I-94 East toward Detroit
• At Benton Harbor take I-196 east (and north) toward Holland / Grand Rapids
• Take US 31 North toward Holland / Muskegon
• Turn left onto Eighth Street and proceed into downtown Holland
• Continue across College Avenue and we are located on the right. (additional parking and entrance in the back)
