Porcini Mushroom Powder

A wild mushroom with a broad cap that is brown/tan in color. Pungent, earthy, woodsy flavor and aroma. This fine, flour-like powder is the perfect way to add a delicious mushroom flavor to any dish, without changing the texture. Great for sauces, stews, soups, risottos and stuffing. Mix porcini powder with flour, sea salt, and pepper to make a breading for fresh wild mushrooms, such as morels, before sautéing in olive oil or clarified butter.
